Ayurveda is a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ‘Ayur’ means life and ‘Veda’ means science or knowledge. Thus, Ayurveda translates to ‘knowledge of life’.
The human body is a temple where the spirit dwells in. So it is important to keep the body, mind and spirit clean and composed just like preserving a place for worship. Ayurveda called as holistic healing methodology as it approaches health as being mentally, physically emotionally and spiritually fit. Ayurveda treatment is based more on the prevention process. Ayurvedic treatments work on the three doshas theory which is Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These doshas affect the human body due to several factors and one of them is a climatic change. Every individual is treated in a unique manner even they have same diseases because every human being is a unique part of nature and as a distinct creation with a unique individual to constitution. Ayurveda recommends herbs, essential oils, yoga, physical exercise, balanced diet, meditation, Ayurvedic routine and prayers to keep one happy and healthy.
